This is a picture of the Toyota 2015 fuel cell car drive train from CES last week. The fuel cell is up front, the two tanks are towards the rear and the electric motor(s) make it a rear wheel drive. It has a range of 300 miles on one hydrogen fill-up that takes 3 to 5 minutes. In 2015, it will probably be $50,000 but by 2017, possibly down to $30,000. By then there will be plenty of hydrogen stations. Honda already has independent service stations with solar panels producing the compressed hydrogen. Toyota is also talking about it as an emergency home electric backup.
