Considering the oil glut and oil price collapse only started becoming apparent a few months ago, there is always a lag for massive movements of people, suddenly in the face of a collapsed economy like what may happen to Venezuela and Russia. Locally, it should be a fairly large drop in the electric rate, if this claim ACC is tied to the price of a barrel of oil is true. Callis in the Tribune-Herald had one of his as-usual geothermal articles and he said in there that Hawaiian Electric was paying 17 cents per kilowatt-hour for oil now. Hmmm, lot of net there.
